A project focussed on discovering Stockport’s African, and Caribbean Heritage through stories, images, videos, workshops, and events. The project is funded by Heritage Lottery, delivered by Rising Stars North West CIC and Ebony and Ivory Community Organisation (EAICO), with support from Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Education Trust (AIUET) and Stockport Libraries.

There is very little information about the lives of people with Black African and Caribbean heritage in Stockport or the contributions they have made in our society. This project aims to uncover untold stories, create an archive and acknowledge our unsung heroes. We want to hear from Stockport residents who are from Black African or Caribbean background.
